Il primo incontro del nuovo ambasciatore d’Italia in Sud Africa, Alessandro Cevese, con gli italiani del Capo è in programma per sabato 2 settembre nel salone del Club Italiano di Città del Capo. Il Comites del N.E.W. Cape ha infatti deciso di invitare i connazionali a un pranzo in onore dell’ambasciatore, che moltissimi da queste parti ricordano con grande simpatia per averlo incontrato in occasione del suo precedente incarico in questo paese.

 

Pubblichiamo qui di seguito la lettera d’invito e le istruzioni diramate dalla segreteria del Comites.

INVITO A UN INCONTRO CON L’AMBASCIATORE D’ITALIA

2 SETTEMBRE 2006 AL ITALIAN CLUB CAPE TOWN DALLE 12.30 ALLE 14.30

 

E’ con vivo piacere che desidero annunciarvi che il nuovo Ambasciatore d’Italia Dr. Alessandro Cevese arriverà in visita ufficiale a Città del Capo e incontrerà la nostra comunità sabato 2 settembre p.v. alle ore 12.30 all’Italian Club. Per porgere a S.E. l’Ambasciatore i nostri più fervidi auguri di benvenuto, il Com.It.Es offrirà un “finger lunch” nel salone del Club Italiano.

 

Coloro che desiderano partecipare a questo speciale evento sono cortesemente invitati a contattare la nostra segretaria Maria Caluzzi (tel. 021-5115430), notificando il nome e il numero delle persone che desiderano intervenire all’incontro. Verrà rilasciato loro telefonicamente un numero d’invito, che potranno ritirare all’ingresso del Club sabato mattina, prima dell’inizio di questo importante avvenimento.

Si prega di confermare la vostra presenza all’ufficio del Com.It.Es (021-5115430) entro e non oltre lunedì 28 agosto p.v. Connazionali che non avranno provveduto alla prenotazione e che non saranno in possesso dell’apposito numero di prenotazione rischieranno di non essere ammessi al salone.

 

Ed ecco anche l’invito diramato in lingua inglese, con relative istruzioni:

 

On behalf of the COM.IT.ES. of the Provinces of the Cape,  we are pleased to invite you at the function that will take place at the Italian Club on 2nd September 2006.  I herewith attach  an invitation  letter in ITALIAN to all Italian Nationals.

 

The function will be hosted by  Mr. Lorenzi as president of the COMITES and will serve as an Italian Community get together to present our new Ambassador and his family to the community at large.

 

The number of participants has been limited to 350 persons and bookings must be made as follows:

 

1. Call the COMITES offices during office hours and speak with Mrs Caluzzi.   Her telephone number is 021 511 54 30.

2. Give Mrs Caluzzi your name and surname. 

3. Each caller can only reserve a booking for him or herself and his or her partner or spouse.

4. Do not leave messages on the messaging system as these will not be treated as a booking.

5. Upon receipt of your call Mrs Caluzzi will issue you a number or two numbers if necessary.   These numbers must be recorded by you the caller and must be quoted when attending the function on Saturday morning.

6. On 2nd  September the persons that have booked will present themselves at the Club and give this number to the persons manning the reception desk who will then hand over tickets that will permit those persons to be admitted to the hall and to receive refreshments.

7. Bookings will only be taken until Close of business on 28^th August 2006.

8. Persons not in possession of the required reservation number will not be admitted to the hall unless a number of persons do not arrive by up to 15 minutes of the official start of proceedings.

9. Persons arriving late will be given a special card indicating that they are first in line for admission should the 350 overall limit not have been reached.

10. An independent security firm has been contracted to offer this service and we would request that everyone understands that they have been given strict instructions and that they do not have any discretion to deviate from this modus operandi.
