Il consolato d'Italia a Città del Capo informa che un bando per una borsa di studio a beneficio di studenti di origine italiana è stata messa a disposizione dai Collegi del Mondo Unito (UWC - Comitato nazionale sudafricano). Ci sono 14 Collegi del Mondo Unito e uno di essi è situato a Trieste. Qui sotto tutte le informazioni:

Italian Émigré Scholarship

The South African National Committee of United World Colleges invites applications for the 2015/2023 academic year. UWC schools, colleges and programmes deliver a challenging and transformational educational experience to a diverse cross section of students, inspiring them to create a more peaceful and sustainable future.

There are 14 colleges across the world in Costa Rica, Italy, Canada, America, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Netherlands, Singapore, China, Germany, Armenia, Swaziland, Norway, Hong Kong and India.

In addition to other UWC college placements, in 2015, the Italian Émigré Scholarship is available. The special conditions for this scholarship are:

· High school student of Italian origin resident (and educated) in South Africa
· Boarding and tuition covered for the two years (€ 43,000)
· Travel, pocket money and other incidentals are not covered.

Selections will be taking place in 2015 for the Italian Émigré Scholarship (and other college placements) for South African applicants. Note that for you to be eligible, a candidate should be between 16 and 19 years of age when taking up the scholarship (Sept 2015 for the Italian Émigré Scholarship) and preferable to be in Grade 11 in 2015.

If you would like to pursue this opportunity, please can you provide the following details via email as soon as possible so that a preliminary assessment can be made if you qualify to be provided with a full application form:

- Copy of your 2014 end of year school report
- Indicate your current town/city and province and your date of birth
- Your date of Birth.

If you have been considered, then the completed full application from must be received by us by no later than 27th February 2015.

Provisional selection dates:

- Friday, 27th February 2015: Deadline for applications to be received
- Saturday, 28th February 2015: Regional application review and interview shortlist
- Saturday, 7th March 2015: Regional Interviews
- Saturday, 14th March 2015: National Interviews.
