Inkcubeko Yethu is a celebration of arts, and of the friendship connecting Italy and South Africa.

Italian and South African artists will take part and exchange experiences, while music and drama performances will offer the opportunity to get a glimpse of the vibrant community of Samora Machel.

This event represent the ideal closure of the Sixth edition of ARP - Art Residency Project, a programme of artistic residencies between Italy and South Africa organised by Centro di Sarro in collaboration with Everard Read Gallery. Selected entries to the video-art award “Beyond Short Format - Oltre il corto” will be on show, and during the event there will also a prize-giving ceremony.

Inkcubeko Yethu is organised by Centro Luigi di Sarro in collaboration with Rainbow Media ad Ubuntubethu, and is possible thanks to the support of the Consulate of Italy in Cape Town.

ARP - Art Residency project is supported by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The video art competition is supported by the Italian Institute of Culture of Pretoria.
